A continuation of Intermediate French C, taught during the Spring 1 session, this course reviews and extends previous grammatical concepts while introducing new vocabulary through the context of French cultural constructs. In order to foster aural/oral communication skills, all class discussions are in French.

Week 1: Introduction: meet the class; “Quoi de neuf”: news from class members; Prononciation: mute e; Vocabulaire: les repas
Week 2: Quoi de neuf; Grammaire: les pronoms relatifs qui et que; Lecture: French in Action, Chapter 24
Week 3: Quoi de neuf; Vidéo: French in Action, Chapter 24; Grammaire: les pronoms démonstratifs; Lecture: French in Action, Chapter 25
Week 4: Quoi de neuf; Vidéo: French in Action, Chapter 25; Grammaire: expressions de quantité; Lecture: French in Action, Chapter 26
Week 5: Quoi de neuf; Vidéo: French in Action, Chapitre 26; Grammaire : exercices de révision: les verbes dire, vivre, plaire, et suivre
Week 6: Fête: déjeuner au restaurant

Dr. Nancy Lawther taught at Texas A&M University, the University of Georgia and most recently at Barry University. She has a BA in French from Pennsylvania State University, a Masters in French from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in French from Yale University.
