Managing Cross-Functional Teams Certificate

Management skills are developed in the areas of assessment, problem solving, and feedback.  Focus is placed on recognizing diversity and appreciating varying perspectives among departmental personnel.  Identification and implementation of techniques across different business disciplines are emphasized. The four frames model for reframing perspectives is utilized in a cross-functional group context.

Upon successful completion of the Management and Supervision Certificate program, the participant will be able to demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Explaining how conflict situations arise in the workplace
  • Identifying cultural differences that affect your communication style
  • Exploring use of the four frames as a method for managing organizational change and exploring the use of an outside consultant to help facilitate organizational change
  • Enabling groups to work through the problem-solving process to reach sustainable outcomes
  • Applying strategies to assess needs, problem-solve, and provide feedback
