David Calvo


David Calvo is the Director of Distribution for the various specialty hospitals at the University of Miami. His goal is for the University of Miami to have a best-in-class distribution system and he is continually leading projects in pursuit of this goal. Some of those projects include transitioning to a Just-In-Time inventory model and developing an innovative mobile warehousing concept to relieve space constraints at the satellite hospitals.
David is a former United States naval officer, management consultant, and full-time project manager with experience leading strategic, continuous improvement, change management, and IT projects in a variety of demanding environments.
David holds an MBA and an MS in Supply Chain Management from the University of Maryland and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.


Randall J. Arvay

Randall J. Arvay

Randall J. Arvay, Ph.D. is a U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and the Division Chief of Cyber Security and Quality Assurance with the Joint Spectrum Center in Annapolis, MD. With over 22 years of experience in various leadership positions with the Army, he has been involved many project management roles and has orchestrated and managed several multi-year projects to include many information technology and software development projects.  Dr. Arvay earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy, West Point, his Masters of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University, and a PhD in Software Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey.  Dr. Arvay also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and serves as an adjunct associate professor at the United States Naval Academy in the Center for Cyber Security Studies.  Dr. Arvay has extensive project management training and project leadership experience in both the Federal sector and in academia.
