Strategies for Successful Negotiation Certificate

Negotiation skills are integral to successfully managing potential impediments in many different contexts.  Negotiation is an art that can be learned.   The development and implementation of negotiation skills can have a positive workplace impact in the context of addressing challenges.  Developing negotiation skills provides the foundation for utilization of techniques that will enhance the potential to mitigate conflict.

Upon successful completion of the Strategies for Successful Negotiation Certificate program, the participant will be able to demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Understanding the function and purpose of negotiation
  • Identifying and implementing strategies for successful negotiation
  • Developing communication skills to advance an effective and straightforward proposal
  • Analyzing the value of persuasion in the negotiation process
  • Using persuasive techniques to frame and adapt interests reflecting opposing viewpoints
