In this class, we will discuss six murder mysteries from eminent crime writers.   The readings are accessible online and through booksellers; however, the readings are not mandatory.

Week 1 Conan Doyle (UK): A Study in Scarlet 1887

Week 2 Agatha Christie (UK): The Murder of Roger Ackroyd 1926

Week 3 Georges Simenon (Belgium): A Man’s Head 1955

Week 4 Pierre Magnan (France): Death in the Truffle Wood 1978

Week 5 Leonardo Padura (Cuba): Havana Red 2005

Week 6 Simona Buchholtz (Germany): Blue Night 2017
