Managing Organizational Change Certificate

Change experienced in the workplace, whether positive or negative, can lead to a period of adjustment for all impacted by the change in a direct or indirect manner.   Change can have varying impacts on different individuals.  Change must be managed appropriately in order to anticipate and account for potential implications.  The goals of managing organizational change include effective identification and navigation of challenges, comprehensive management and minimizing adverse consequences associated with the change. 

Upon successful completion of the Managing Organizational Change Certificate program, the participant will be able to demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Understanding the concept of organizational change 
  • Identifying triggering events that lead to organizational change
  • Building essential skills for handling organizational change
  • Planning for contingencies and ascertaining stakeholder scope of impact
  • Exploring use of the four frames as a method for managing organizational change and exploring the use of an outside consultant to help facilitate organizational change

The Managing Organizational Change Certificate program is 8 weeks in length. This program is offered on ground and fully online.
