The University of Miami Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program prepares participants to lead Lean Six Sigma projects in organizations and industries across multiple sectors. Organizational demand is on the rise for Lean Six Sigma professionals to assist with improvement of business processes and enhancement of team efficiency.
Those possessing the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credential employ problem-solving techniques, including the DMAIC framework, to improve business processes, reduce waste, assure quality control, and increase consumer satisfaction on improvement projects. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to successfully lead Green Belt-level projects.
PROGRAM OUTCOME
Upon successful completion of the program, participant will demonstrate proficiency in:
- Employing the DMAIC methodology to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control organizational challenges
- Collecting and analyzing data, using applicable statistical tools, to achieve process-level improvement project objectives
- Constructing statistical hypotheses, using statistical tools, to understand problems and correlational differences in outcomes
- Utilizing Lean process improvement principles to increase value delivery through waste reduction and organizational efficiency
- Applying Lean and Six Sigma concepts and methodologies to lead continuous process improvement (CPI) projects
The University of Miami Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program is conceptually aligned with the ASQ (American Society for Quality) Body of Knowledge. This is not an exam prep program.
